Just what is audio engineering? It is the behind the scenes artform that so many of us rely on in the performing arts. The audio engineer is the conduit between the creator and the audience. They are the people you see behind the soundboards at concerts, recording studios, radio stations, podcasts, TV studios and so much more. Their job is to possess a working knowledge about the equipment needed to properly capture sound, whether for live or recorded purposes.
This two week camp is an introductory intensive that will cover all of the basics for your budding audio engineer. There will only be six students accepted into this exclusive camp so that we can achieve a high level of individual attention. The camp will be comprised of classroom and live labs and each student will have the opportunity to get their hands on real studio quality equipment. The camp will conclude with the students running live and recorded sound for our Broadway Camp performance on July 18th.
This camp takes place July 6-July 18th. Monday through Friday from 1-4pm with July 18th being the final date for performances (Time TBD)
